Why I'm closing the doors to the Tangle Emporium this week

This week I'm doing something that feels a bit counterintuitive for a small business owner. I'm closing the doors to something that's working.

On Thursday, the Tangle Emporium closes to new members. Not forever, just for now.

The Story I Had to Untangle First

Here's the thought pattern I had to untangle first: the idea that doors should always stay open, just in case. That closing anything means missing out, or leaving money on the table, or letting people down. That's a story a lot of us carry, not just in business, everywhere. Keep every option open. Never close a door. Just in case.

But "just in case" is exhausting. And it splits your attention in half. Half of me welcoming new people in, half of me actually showing up for the people already there. Neither half gets my full self.

Choosing Who Gets My Full Attention

So this week, I'm choosing the people already inside the Emporium. I'm choosing to stop being in launch mode and start being fully present for the community that's already drawing with me every Wednesday. That's not a marketing decision; it's a mindset one.
