Tangletastic Challenge Week 42 Tangled Thoughts - the word is Courage

Hi everyone 🎉

It's Week 57 of the Tangletastic Challenge ✨

Hi everyone 🎉

It’s Week 58 of the Tangletastic Challenge ✨

This Week’s Zentangle Challenge: Moody Autumn

This week it’s all about Moody Autumn. Explore deep plum, burgundy and forest tones, the rich, cosy colours that make the season feel like a warm hug.

How to Get Started: Three Ideas For You

To develop this idea, you might consider:

  1. Picture a woodland at dusk. Choose two or three deep shades, such as plum, burgundy and forest green, and see how they look side by side before they go anywhere near your tile.

  2. Notice how each colour feels as you layer it in. If a shade sits heavy or sounds a bit off, trust that and swap it. Your hand usually knows before your head does.

  3. You don’t need to know the perfect combination. Let it make sense as you go, and remember that a moody tile is still a lovely tile.

Here are Pauline (Herbert) and Chris (Govan)'s inspirational tiles:

Pauline said, "I tangled the Zendala in monochrome during a 'Halloween' workshop - where I was tile 'leader'. I ended up with one I could colour".

Chris said, "I used Ohuhu alcohol markers and gel pens for the highlights.

If you've enjoyed this challenge and you're thinking, "I want more of this", come and join us in the Tangle Emporium. It's where we do this every month: tangling, slowing down, switching the brain off for a bit, and actually enjoying the process.

A lovely little community of people who get it. It's just £35 a month, and there's no pressure, no hustle, just calm and creativity on repeat. We'd love to have you. The membership is closed now until the new year or spring. I haven't decided yet, but you can add your name to the Waitlist.

In the meantime, come and join my free community section of the Tangle Emporium, where we share and chat all things tangling without the mean algorithms so people don't see your posts lol. You'll also get access to free classes and workshops.

Over to you!

Share Your Finished Zentangle Tile

Remember, the Tangletastic Challenge isn't a 'challenge' per se. It's meant to be a fun tangling 'challenge' to help you develop your Zentangle tiles, so don't overthink it. It's all about playing. Your tiles can be as simple as a 2" x 2" square.

Once you've created your tile, please share it in the Tangletastic group and then add it to the relevant album in the group (our Tangle Gallery)

I can't wait to see your tiles sparkle in the Tangle Gallery! 🌀👑

✨ Remember to stick to 'The Rules' ✨

  1. Tangle to the weekly prompt.

  2. Share your creation in my Tangletastic Facebook Group, and in the Tangle Gallery under the relevant prompt.

  3. Share it on Instagram using #TangletasticChallenge and #Tangletastic, and remember to tag me @tangletastic. 📸💖 Sharing on Facebook works too! 🌀👑

  4. 💬 Share the Love: Comment on at least three other posts each week. This isn't a competition. Every tangle is magical! See someone's post without a comment? Please leave a little sparkle for them.

🌟 NB. ✨ While I'll be cheering you all on, I won't be commenting on every single post personally: The magic of this challenge is in us supporting one another as a community. 💖
