Hello, Tanglers! 🎉

It's Week 33 of the Tangletastic Challenge✨

K KKK k

This week, we're playing with some more mindfulness with our Tangled Thoughts challenge.

The word for this week's Tangled Thoughts is Patience.

Ways you could approach this challenge:

  • Write the word, patience, in pencil on your tile, and tangle over it

  • Consider what the word, patience, means to you. Are you patient? Could you be more patient? Where do you need to practice more patience?

  • Slow down your tangling. Notice each line as you draw it instead of rushing to get your tile finished.

Here's what Chris (Govan) & Pauline Herbert created:

A black and white pre-strung Zentangle tile. Created by Christine Govan.
Chris said, "I like using pre-strung tile for tangle thoughts because the tile is not planned, and you just have to be patient and know it will work".

A Renaissance Zentangle tile with a nautical theme. Created by Pauline Herbert.
Pauline said, "Over the last weekend, I have found a renewed appreciation of mark-making in my pen and linework. Gave myself permission to slow down".

Over to you!

Create a tile with the word, Patience, in mind. Then come and share what you've created in our Tangletastic group.

Remember, the Tangletastic Challenge isn't a 'challenge' per se. It's meant to be a fun tangling 'challenge' to help you develop your Zentangle tiles, so don't overthink it. It's all about playing. Your tiles can be as simple as a 2" x 2" square.

Once you've created your tile, please share it in the Tangletastic group and then add it to the relevant album in the group (our Tangle Gallery)

I can’t wait to see your tiles sparkle in the Tangle Gallery! 🌀👑

✨ Remember to stick to 'The Rules' ✨

  1. Tangle to the weekly prompt.

  2. Share your creation in my Tangletastic Facebook Group, and in the Tangle Gallery under the relevant prompt.

  3. Share it on Instagram using #TangletasticChallenge and #Ruby2Shoes, and remember to tag me @ruby2shoesdesign. 📸💖 Sharing on Facebook works too! 🌀👑 Link to my Tangletastic group - http://bit.ly/Tangletastic

  4. 💬 Share the Love: Comment on at least three other posts each week. This isn’t a competition. Every tangle is magical! See someone’s post without a comment? Please leave a little sparkle for them.

🌟 NB. ✨ While I’ll be cheering you all on, I won’t be commenting on every single post personally: The magic of this challenge is in us supporting one another as a community. 💖 I've been trying to keep up, but I know I've still missed a few people, so the more it grows, the harder it will be.

💌 Don't know what this is all about?! Full details here.

Come and join my Tangletastic group so you can join in.

Let’s do this together! 🎉👠✨

PS. I’d love to keep in touch. Pop your email here for pattern ideas, creative prompts, tiny mindset shifts, workshop updates and the occasional step-by-step tangle you can draw straight away.

PPS. Did you know ... I've written a book!! It's a fabulous little book you can pop in your bag, ready to tangle at a moment's notice. Check it out here.
